The 2009 I-Renew Energy & Sustainability Expo is the 18th annual Expo hosted by the Iowa Renewable Energy Association. This year’s Expo will be held at Frontier Natural Products Co-op, 3021 78th Street, Norway, IA 52318 (near Cedar Rapids & Iowa City).
The Expo features workshops and speakers covering a wide variety of topics related to renewable energy —wind, solar, sustainable living, green building, energy efficient technology, renewable fuels, alternative transportation, and advocacy. Plus, this year we have a strong focus on Green Jobs.
In addition, the I-Renew Energy & Sustainability Expo features a renewable energy & sustainability demonstration area that includes solar power, wind power, hydrogen storage fuel cells, and cars that run on alternative fuels. Numerous exhibitors from the business and non-profit communities will be on hand, including local food vendors. We're also holding the I-Renew Silent Auction as well as a Children's Program. Last year, more than 1,300 attended the Expo to see 70 presenters and 90 exhibitors.
