Expo 2009 Wrap Up: Monica Stone’s Keynote Address
I-Renew is proud to have featured Monica Stone, Policy and Communication Director for the Iowa Office of Energy Independence (OEI), as one of three key note speakers at Expo ’09.
Monica Stone currently serves as the Policy and Communication Director for the Iowa Office of Energy Independence (OEI). The OEI provides strategic direction to the state on energy issues. Monica has 18 years of experience in Iowa working with environmental programs, particularly in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy. Monica’s background is principally in creating and delivering marketing and financing programs that have allowed government and industry to save more than $400 million in energy and environmental costs. Most recently, she was responsible for environmental compliance at Pacific Gas and Electric Company in San Francisco, California, returning to Iowa at the beginning of 2009 to assume her current position.
